How to send a win back campaign in ABC Ignite

ABC Ignite is ABC Fitness's club software for traditional and HVLP gyms, used across the US and Canada. ABC's public pages place bulk email, bulk texts and automatic follow up in two upgrades, Ignite Sales and Ignite Engagement. Its step by step help is not public, so this page sticks to what ABC shows openly and tells you what to ask ABC for.

Checked in October 2026 against ABC Fitness's Ignite product pages, update posts and public developer docs, linked under Sources. ABC's Ignite help center blocks automated readers, so we could not read its how to articles. Where a screen is not public, this page says so. Your ABC support team can give you the exact path.

Build your win back list

A win back list has two groups: members whose agreement was cancelled, expired or put on freeze in the last six months, and prospects who came in but never joined. Ignite keeps both, and ABC's developer docs show what it stores for each person.

Past members

  1. Pull members by status. ABC's developer docs list member statuses including cancelled, expired, freeze, pending cancel and return for collection.
  2. Narrow it to the last six months. Each member record has a member status date and a last check in time, which show when people left or stopped coming.
  3. Add members who still pay but stopped coming in. The last check in time finds them too.
  4. Ask ABC support which Ignite report lists members by status with email, mobile number and status date, and whether it exports. ABC's public pages do not name that report.

Leads who never joined

Ignite stores people who have not bought as prospects, and ABC Ignite Sales calls them leads. The developer docs show each prospect has a created date, a tour date, visits used and a lead priority of cold, medium, hot or lost. Take prospects created in the last six months who are still prospects, and include the ones marked lost. Prospects who joined now show as members with a converted date, so leave them off.

Start with the most recent

Send to people who left in the last two months first, then months three to six. Recent leavers come back most easily.

Send the three emails

ABC's public pages describe bulk email only inside its upgrades. Its Ignite Engagement card lists automated bulk SMS and email, campaigns and one to one messages. The ABC Ignite Sales page lists promotional campaigns to members and automatic outreach to former members. Neither shows the screens, so ask ABC which upgrade your club has.

  • Replies: in ABC Ignite Sales, staff answer emails and texts in one to one conversations. Each lead profile keeps its email, text and call history.
  • Sender address: the public pages do not say which address bulk email comes from. Send a test to yourself and reply to it to see where replies land.
  • Scheduling: the public pages do not describe scheduling a bulk email for later. Plan to send each email by hand on Day 1, Day 5 and Day 10.
  • Unsubscribes: the developer docs show an email marketing preference on each person. Check your test email for an unsubscribe link before you send.
  • Without either upgrade, send the three emails from the email tool you already use. Leave out anyone whose email preference is off.

Send the two texts

Ignite texts through its upgrades. ABC lists bulk SMS on its Engagement card, text reminders on sales triggers, and staff replies to texts inside ABC Ignite Sales, so those texts are two way. The public pages do not describe bulk texts without an upgrade.

  • ABC does not publish a price per text, a character limit or a daily cap. Ask your ABC contact before you text a long list.
  • The developer docs show a separate SMS marketing preference for each member and prospect. Text only people with it turned on who agreed to get texts from you.
  • The public pages do not describe how STOP replies are handled. Ask ABC how an opt out is recorded, and check the preference again before Day 8.
  • Without either upgrade, send the two texts from the tool you already use for texting, only to people who agreed.

Your ten day plan in ABC Ignite

DayMessageHow to send it
Day 1Email: the offerBulk email from your Sales or Engagement upgrade, or your own email tool
Day 3Text: a short reminderBulk text to people whose SMS preference is on, with your link and code word
Day 5Email: what is newSame list, minus anyone who came back or opted out
Day 8Text: a check inSame as Day 3, after checking the SMS preference again
Day 10Email: last callSame list, minus anyone who came back

The five messages, ready to fill in, are on the win back email templates page. Both texts there already fit in 160 characters.

Can ABC Ignite run it for you?

Partly, and only with the upgrades. ABC describes the automation in outline but does not publish the setup screens.

  • LEAD NURTURE in ABC Ignite Sales moves leads through automated steps based on time or milestones, and prompts staff when a personal touch is due.
  • Sales can send text and email reminders when a sales trigger fires. ABC's example is an expiring trial, which suits leads who never joined.
  • Under MEMBER UPSELL, ABC lists automatic outreach to former members. Ask ABC whether it can start on a cancelled or expired agreement and space five messages over ten days.
  • DXFactor Click2Save, listed in ABC's post on its 2025 updates, steps in while a member is cancelling and offers a freeze, a discount or a plan change. It acts before someone leaves, so it does not replace a win back.
  • ABC describes Sales, Engagement and Insights as upgrades to Ignite. Its pricing page showed no prices in October 2026.

See who came back

  • Ask your front desk to note anyone who mentions your code word. It works whether you sent from Ignite or from your own tools.
  • When a former member rejoins, ask ABC how to rewrite their old agreement instead of adding a new member. ABC's March 2026 update extended its rewrite API to inactive members. History stays on one record, and the last rewrite date marks the return.
  • The developer docs show each agreement can carry a campaign name and group. If you set up a win back campaign and pick it when people sign, you can count them by campaign. Ask ABC support how to set one up.
  • For leads, the converted date on the member record shows which former prospects joined after Day 1.
  • ABC Ignite Insights has a PRE BUILT REPORT CATALOG that includes conversions, and SALES REPORTING in ABC Ignite Sales covers campaigns. ABC does not name a report for returning members.

Watch out for

  • ABC Ignite is not ABC Evo. ABC lists Evo separately as its software for Latin America, so Evo guides and screens do not match Ignite.
  • ABC's docs list freeze as its own status, apart from cancelled and expired. Ask for it by name, or frozen members may be missing.
  • Pending cancel members have not left yet, so leave them to your save process. Check problem and return for collection records with whoever runs your billing first.
  • ABC's last check in time leaves out remote check ins. A member who only checks in remotely can look like they stopped coming.
  • The ABC Ignite Engagement app inbox and banners only reach people who use your app. Many past members and leads will not, so use email and text.
